The Wheel of Fortune card is usually about being flexible and open to new opportunities and changes. Blood, Sweat and Tears' song "Spinning Wheel" adds another dimension to that. While it is a reminder not to let yourself get too cocky, since what goes up must come down, there's more to it than that. It's also a reminder that you aren't the only one going through whatever it is that you're going through. We all deal with the ups and downs of life. While it's difficult, if not impossible, to gage when those changes are coming, learning to accept them and flow with them can make things a lot less difficult. Hopefully, just knowing that others are in the same boat helps, at least a little. It's so easy to get overwhelmed when you feel that life has thrown you for a loop, and it's easy to feel like you're the only one. But it happens to all of us. Some just handle it better than others. Change isn't always easy to deal with. We get comfortable on our paths, even in the ruts. If you're feeling this now, reach out to your angels and guides for support. And know that the reverse of the song's lyrics is also true. What does down, goes back up! This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created out of my love of music. It is similar to traditional tarot decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.
You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's new Spiritual Tune Up Show, with Michele Amburgey, on Wednesday's at 5:00pm and on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, on Friday's at 5:00pm (Pacific) on Blog Talk Radio! I will also be giving readings with this deck at Myztic Isle in La Mesa, CA (Monday) from noon to 5:00pm. Get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE!

What a terrific and inspiration card! Doreen Virtue says, "Believe in yourself and keep your thoughts positive right now." That's good advice for any time, but especially right now! This card offers hope. If you're not happy in your present situation (relationship, job, etc.), please know that it doesn't always have to be this way. This isn't forever, it's just your temporary condition today. And you aren't trapped. It doesn't have to be this way for much longer. Sometimes, we get overwhelmed when we're in a situation that we don't like. This prevents us from seeing a way out, and we start to feel that this is just how it will always be. The key to freeing yourself is to simply step back, and try and view the whole picture, rather than your small part of it. Make yourself a list of possible ways to change or leave this situation. Make it as exhaustive as you can. Even beginning this process will help you to feel more in control. Once you have this list, begin to expand each possibility with what you think will happen next. For example, if you're unhappy in your job, the first step might be to simply start looking for something new. Where would you look? There are plenty of job sources out there, as well as your own personal network of friends and family. So what happens next? Think about that and go on to the next step, and the one after. Plan it all out, and soon you will have a roadmap to success. I once felt trapped in an abusive relationship. And then I started to think about what I needed to do to get out. I found family and friends who loved me, and with their encouragement, love and support, I began making moves until I was where I wanted to be. It's not always easy. But it's important to remember that you are not alone. Even if you feel that you don't have friends or family that you can talk to, you always have your guides and angels. And you are loved and supported more than you can imagine! This card comes from the Angel Tarot Deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: I'm pretty sure you already know what this card means for you, which is actually how this particular decks works. For me, this card means a couple things. First, and probably most obvious, is about charity. Specifically, giving money. This doesn't mean an official charity, but it could be giving money to someone you know needs a little help. It also doesn't have to be money. It could be tangible goods like food and clothes. Is there someone close to you that might need something you could provide? This doesn't mean to give what you cannot afford. If you're barely scraping by, this is not a message about sacrifice. But if you are in a position to help those in need, it's a reminder to take action and do what you can. It also doesn't necessarily refer to anything tangible. Gifts of time are always appreciated. Is there someone in your circle of family and friends that could use some of your time, just to talk and visit? Perhaps they need the comfort of your company. A friendly ear to talk to. Someone to share secrets, hopes and dreams. Or someone to share concerns and fears. And there's also a gift of talent. Do have a particular ability that could help someone else? While it could be vocational, it could also just be as simple as your ability to push a lawnmower. But that's what it means to me. This card also mean something completely different to you, and that's absolutely valid. That's how this deck works! If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like).
Today's card is something we talk about on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show often. "I can stop attracting Don't-Wants by attention to Do-Wants..." "You cannot rid the world of things that bother you. You have got to rid your Vibration of things that bother you. And when you rid your Vibration of things that bother you - no things that bother you can come. "But you cannot really rid anything from your Vibration, because there is no exclusion in this attraction-based Universe. The only way to stop attracting something that you don't want is by giving your attention to something that you do want. But you have to take small steps in it." This card comes from Esther and Jerry Hicks' oracle deck Getting Into The Vortex. You can find out more on their website: RIGHT HERE
I woke with this in my head this morning, moments before the power went out (and that was only for a minute or two). This song is about a man trying to help hide his girlfriend (and himself) from those who are abusive. While I don't think the message today is about abuse, if you or someone you love is in that kind of situation, please call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). That's the National Domestic Abuse Hotline, and someone is always there, ready to listen and ready to help. I do think the message here is about cutting cords and letting go of what no longer serves you, especially if it's a negative person or place. It's not always easy to let go of someone you've known a long time, or a place you've lived in for a while. But you have to remember that you're important. You matter. And you deserve to be treated respectfully. This can also refer to what you do for a living. Is it fulfilling? Are you happy there (or, at least, reasonably happy)? Do you get along with your co-workers? I'm not suggesting that you quit your job. But if you are getting to the point that you dread going to work, it's time to do something about it. Is there a project that you've been wanting to start? A hobby that you wish you could do for a living? If so, it's time to crank it up a notch, and start working on a plan to make it a reality. This doesn't mean that you have to figure it all out today. Just try to come up with one thing you can do to move yourself toward this goal. It can be big or small. The point is forward motion. And then do it again tomorrow. And the next day. You'll begin to see the progress, and you'll feel it. And while your goal may still be out of reach, you will find peace in knowing that you're taking action to improve your life. This is also true about relationships and homes. Figure out what you want, and then make your plan to go after it. Once you've made your mind up to make that change, and started to take the steps to achieve it, you'll find the joy, peace and happiness you've been searching for. I've posted Del's performance of this song from a TV show filmed in the mid-1960's below. I hope that you'll give it a listen. I often find listening to the music helps clarify the messages. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over twenty thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and ask my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and on our new Spiritual Tune Up Show, which is on Blog Talk Radio every Wednesday at 5:00pm (Pacific). And I use it in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays (12:00pm to 5:00pm)! You can get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! This is a card about perspective. The Hollies' song, "Look Through Any Window", is about walking down the street, and looking in the windows of different houses. In each case, you catch a glimpse of the story that's unfolding there. But not the whole story. This is true of any interactions you have with others. Regardless of what you know, or what you think you know, you're only witnessing a small part of their story. That's something that is all too easy to lose sight of, especially when the part of the story you're seeing isn't something you like or agree with. You'll never really know the whole story. Even if it's someone you're very close to. And that's okay. They'll never know your whole story, either. But it is something to consider when dealing with others. Don't leap to judgments. Don't rush to condemn. And don't be so sure you know how you would have done things differently. Because you don't know. Instead, choose compassion. Choose understanding, especially when you find it so difficult to understand - you can still choose to understand that you don't understand, and that's okay. And above all, choose love. This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to traditional tarot decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.

Get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” - Yoko Ono I'm not sure whether this sketch by John Lennon inspired that quote from Yoko, or if it was the other way around. The sentiment, though, is wonderful. Each week on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, we talk to people who are looking for love, and we try to give them suggestions to help them figure out what they're really looking for. After all, it's very difficult to find something if you don't even really know what that something is. So we suggest making lists of the different qualities, large and small, that you want in a romantic partner. And after you've made as exhaustive list as possible, you should go back and cross off the things that aren't really that important to you. Does it matter if they have brown eyes instead of blue? Is their taste in music a deal-breaker? Do they need to be a fan of your favorite team? You get the idea. Something else that I think is really important, though, is their reaction to your dreams. Are they supportive? And being supportive doesn't mean they have to rush in and figure out a way to make your dreams happen for you. It just means that they are positive, and hope you're able to reach them. And while that is important, there's one other thing that I think is even more important. Are you comfortable enough, and willing to be vulnerable enough, to share your dreams with them? And are they willing to do that with you? This doesn't need to be on a first date. But once you've been out several times, and have gotten to know each other. Are you willing to share that part of yourself? And are they willing to share the same with you? Whether you feel that you can share that, or you feel that you can't, either way, it's a big clue about your relationship! This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon.

Today's card has a message that's particularly difficult for me. Patience. You have done the work, whether it's on yourself, on a relationship or on some project. Now, it's time to hand it off to the Universe. No more second-guessing yourself. No more debate over whether you did the best you could. It's a time to trust yourself. It's a time to believe that you deserve the outcome that you want. It's a time to have faith. Of this card, John Holland says that, if you're feeling frustrated while waiting, step back and use the time to turn your focus to something else. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. You can find out more about this deck at John's website RIGHT HERE!
I picked this song to open Psychic Tapestry's new Spiritual Tune Up Show. Or rather, it picked me. That's just how it works sometimes. I never used to be a fan of cover songs, especially where the Beatles were concerned. Part of my music snobbery, I suppose. All that has changed since I found my path, and found so often that the message was what was important, moreso than the conveyance. So you can like this version by Johnny Cash, the original by John Lennon and the Beatles, the one that Chantal Kreviazuk recorded for the TV show Providence, or any of the other versions (including Bette Midler and Ozzy Osbourne). Or you can like them all. Obviously, the song evokes the feeling of nostalgia, and I always like to say that, while there's nothing wrong with remembering your past, you don't want to unpack and live there. Everything that has happened to you, and everyone you've known, have all been a part of who you are today (and who you will be tomorrow, with all your new experiences added to the mix). But remembering those we've known and loved is a beautiful thing. And in that, you can find hope and healing, and even strength. It's only when we get the idea that things were better and life was easier, when we wish we could go back, that it starts to weigh us down. Be grateful for what has been. Send love to those you've known. And carry the best of it all with you. I've posted Johnny Cash's version of the song below. There's not much to see in the video, just the album cover, but his version is so loving and so personal, I hope that you'll give it a listen. This is another one of those things that society tries to make us think is bad, like it's a sign of failure. But it's not. Every day is an opportunity to start over. Actually, any time you choose can be an opportunity to start over; we think of it, at times, as something to do at the beginning of the day kind of like we think about making resolutions on January 1. The Virgo in me agrees that that is neater and more organized, of course. But it can really be any day and at any time you decide. Pretty cool that you have that kind of power, isn't it? The point is that you don't have to carry the past around with you. Don't let it weigh you down. If as you're reading this you're thinking, I'm going to start doing such-and-such now, do it. Broken diets don't have to mean that you can't make the change you want. A relationship that didn't turn out as you'd hoped, for whatever reason, doesn't mean you can't find love. Whatever you want to do, you can do it! And right now is a wonderful time to start! This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to traditional tarot decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.
