I was guided to pull another card from John Holland's wonderful Psychic Tarot Of The Heart deck. Opportunity Beckons. It is time to go after what you want. Imagining, meditating and planning are important, but now it's time for action. Whatever it is that you've been hoping for, and striving for, isn't going to just magically happen because you want it to. You need to be involved to bring it about. The dream job isn't going to just fall into your lap, and the love of your life isn't going to just show up at your door. You need to put yourself out there, get moving and take that next step. It's also important that you banish fear and doubt. You deserve to have what you want. You just can't be passive. Think about that next step, and move to put it into action. And be happy and excited about it. After all, you're going after what you want! As I mentioned, this card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. Here is your daily reading for Tuesday... You always have the choice. That's something worth remembering. This card is a reminder, not just about your overall ability to choose, but the importance of deciding just how strong your need is to be right. This isn't to suggest that you need to just go with the flow, even if it's against your principles. And it's not to say that you should go along to get along, even if what you'd be agreeing to is wrong. This is more about some of the little things, which could become big things. It's a message that you should consider the effects of winning or proving that you're right. Is it worth it? Only you can make that determination. Don't let your need to win, your need to be right, prolong an unnecessary conflict. Remember, choosing to make peace doesn't mean you're a loser. It just means you value your relationships more than your need to win. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. A very simple message for your Monday. Dream On. This doesn't just mean to keep the faith, and keep your dreams alive until they become a reality. It also means that you should never let anyone put down your dreams, or cause you to give them up. This idea came up on last week's Love Show and it's worth repeating. If you're looking for love, as you compile your list of traits or characteristics that you want in a partner, add in acceptance of your dreams. This doesn't mean that you need to seek out someone who has the same dream that you have. But you should be with someone that you can confide in, letting them know what you dream of, and that when they hear that, they are supportive. This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to tradition decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer. You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, Friday's at 5:00pm Pacific on Blog Talk Radio! Hope this doesn't seem like a cop-out for a daily reading.
Today is Johnny Cash's birthday. He would have been 85. Anyway, I've been thinking about him quite a bit. In fact, every time I tried to clear my head and get ready for my daily reading, my thoughts turned back to the Man In Black. So I thought I would share this quote from him. I think it's great advice, and I hope it resonates with you. And happy birthday, Johnny! We still miss you!. "Chain Gang" was a big hit for a Sam Cooke in 1960. It was also a hit when it was later covered by Jackie Wilson in 1968, and a posthumous hit for Jim Croce in 1976. The Ten Of Wands traditionally indicates that you're working too hard, or too much. The message in this card is the same. The truth is, most of us work too much. It seems to be the nature of things in the 21st century. We're connected to the Internet, email and social media almost all the time, And we're used to that connection, so we don't even notice that we're almost always working. This card is a reminder that other parts of your life are important, too, and you should take some time to focus on that. Do something with family and friends. Do something for you. This doesn't have to be something extravagant and expensive. It can be as simple as going for a walk in the park, watching a favorite movie or reading a book. Something that brings you happiness, and feeds that part of you that too often gets neglected by a non-stop stream of work. Today's reading is from a song (more about that at the end). The song is "Where You Goin' Now?" by Damn Yankees, a top 20 hit in 1992. There's a face in the mirror And you close your eyes Much easier to turn away Than to take a look inside Those are the opening lines of the song. And it's so true. It's so much easier to look away, than it is to take a real look at yourself. But this is a time when you need to do that. What do you see? It's time to do something about anything you don't like about yourself. It's so important to love yourself, and if there's something that's keeping you from doing that, now is the time to confront that. And do something about it. Where you going' now When your world's turned inside out Isn't love what it's all about These lines are repeated several times in the song. So often, when we're confronted with something we don't like, about ourselves, or about someone or something else, we feel like running. We get this idea that no one else would understand, and those we love might think less about us if they knew the truth. The truth is those who really love you will understand. And will help, if they can. And there's no shame in asking for help. In fact, that's actually one of the nicest things you can do for someone else - allow them to help you. If you've ever been in a position to help someone, you know how wonderful that feels. And wherever it is you're trying to go, let those you love know. They'll want to be there, too! Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over seventeen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:0pm (Pacific). Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: So this card means what you feel that it means for you.
For some, the idea of Nature is an obvious one. It's about getting out and walking in a park, or going to the beach or a lake. It's about taking time to commune with plants and animals, and let the business of the daily routine fade away, at least for a little while, as you soak up the beauty of nature. For the most part, Nature just doesn't do much for me. While I do enjoy going to stare at the ocean (which is how this deck came to be), the idea of hiking in the woods or otherwise spending time in the great outdoors is just not that appealing. When I belonged to a meditation circle, one of the pieces of audio we used for meditation was "The Sounds of the Rainforest". Afterward, everyone else had experiences to share about their rainforest visits. I envisioned myself at the Rainforest Cafe. So "Nature" may not mean the same to all of us, and that's absolutely okay. The way this deck works is that the meaning is what you feel that it means for you. What comes to mind? What does your intuition tell you? When you see the word "Nature" what immediately comes to mind? Your answers to those questions are what this card means for you today. If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like). We've all been there. Sometimes, when you're feeling this way, it's of at least some comfort to know that you really aren't the only one. And the truth is, your guides and angels are with you. And every person you have ever known and loved that has passed on - they are all just a thought away. If you're feeling adrift, please know this is only temporary. Don't let it take you off your path. Try and see the lesson here. What can you learn from this experience? Most importantly, know that this feeling of being alone is not forever. It is only temporary. And your spiritual team loves you and supports you. You are never really alone. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. You can find out more about this deck at John's website RIGHT HERE! This is a drawing by John Lennon, which he labeled "Turn Left And Make Peace". John said, “Peace is not something you wish for, it’s something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away.” Too often, when we're trying to manifest something, or just find our way along our path, we struggle with waiting for something to happen, rather than taking charge and doing what we can to make something happen. No matter your goal, you have to take an active part in bringing it about. It might seem that this is in direct contrast with yesterday's ready, which indicated that you've done what you need to do, and now is the time to rest as things unfold. But it's actually very much connected to that reading. You have to do the work first, before you can step back. If you're looking for love, put yourself in situations where love can find you. If you're looking for employment, get your resumes into the right hands, and make sure you network with your friends and family (as you never know who they might know that might be able to help you). Whatever the case, make sure you're an active participant in your life! This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon. You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, Friday's at 5:00pm Pacific on Blog Talk Radio! This card brings a message that I personally have a tough time with - patience! You're reaching the point where you've done what you can, and it's time to step back, let your plans take root and blossom! I feel this is of particular significance to anyone looking for a job. Today is a holiday in the U.S. Because of that, very little work will happen today, at least of a hiring or interviewing nature. That isn't to say this can't or won't happen today, but for the most part, the people making those decisions are not making them today. It's not a good day waiting for the phone to ring, or sitting at your computer constantly refreshing your email. It's time to have faith in what you've done, and to take a break from worrying over it (which won't help, anyway - worrying is like praying for something you do not want).
