I woke with this in my head this morning, moments before the power went out (and that was only for a minute or two). This song is about a man trying to help hide his girlfriend (and himself) from those who are abusive. While I don't think the message today is about abuse, if you or someone you love is in that kind of situation, please call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). That's the National Domestic Abuse Hotline, and someone is always there, ready to listen and ready to help. I do think the message here is about cutting cords and letting go of what no longer serves you, especially if it's a negative person or place. It's not always easy to let go of someone you've known a long time, or a place you've lived in for a while. But you have to remember that you're important. You matter. And you deserve to be treated respectfully. This can also refer to what you do for a living. Is it fulfilling? Are you happy there (or, at least, reasonably happy)? Do you get along with your co-workers? I'm not suggesting that you quit your job. But if you are getting to the point that you dread going to work, it's time to do something about it. Is there a project that you've been wanting to start? A hobby that you wish you could do for a living? If so, it's time to crank it up a notch, and start working on a plan to make it a reality. This doesn't mean that you have to figure it all out today. Just try to come up with one thing you can do to move yourself toward this goal. It can be big or small. The point is forward motion. And then do it again tomorrow. And the next day. You'll begin to see the progress, and you'll feel it. And while your goal may still be out of reach, you will find peace in knowing that you're taking action to improve your life. This is also true about relationships and homes. Figure out what you want, and then make your plan to go after it. Once you've made your mind up to make that change, and started to take the steps to achieve it, you'll find the joy, peace and happiness you've been searching for. I've posted Del's performance of this song from a TV show filmed in the mid-1960's below. I hope that you'll give it a listen. I often find listening to the music helps clarify the messages. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over twenty thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and ask my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and on our new Spiritual Tune Up Show, which is on Blog Talk Radio every Wednesday at 5:00pm (Pacific). And I use it in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays (12:00pm to 5:00pm)! You can get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE!
