(Just Like) Starting Over

Starting over.

This is another one of those things that society tries to make us think is bad, like it's a sign of failure.

But it's not.

Every day is an opportunity to start over. Actually, any time you choose can be an opportunity to start over; we think of it, at times, as something to do at the beginning of the day kind of like we think about making resolutions on January 1. The Virgo in me agrees that that is neater and more organized, of course. But it can really be any day and at any time you decide.

Pretty cool that you have that kind of power, isn't it?

The point is that you don't have to carry the past around with you. Don't let it weigh you down. If as you're reading this you're thinking, I'm going to start doing such-and-such now, do it. Broken diets don't have to mean that you can't make the change you want. A relationship that didn't turn out as you'd hoped, for whatever reason, doesn't mean you can't find love. 

Whatever you want to do, you can do it! And right now is a wonderful time to start!
