Dream Power

I'm not sure whether this sketch by John Lennon inspired that quote from Yoko, or if it was the other way around. The sentiment, though, is wonderful.

Each week on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, we talk to people who are looking for love, and we try to give them suggestions to help them figure out what they're really looking for. After all, it's very difficult to find something if you don't even really know what that something is.

So we suggest making lists of the different qualities, large and small, that you want in a romantic partner. And after you've made as exhaustive list as possible, you should go back and cross off the things that aren't really that important to you. Does it matter if they have brown eyes instead of blue? Is their taste in music a deal-breaker? Do they need to be a fan of your favorite team? You get the idea.

Something else that I think is really important, though, is their reaction to your dreams. Are they supportive? And being supportive doesn't mean they have to rush in and figure out a way to make your dreams happen for you. It just means that they are positive, and hope you're able to reach them.

And while that is important, there's one other thing that I think is even more important.

Are you comfortable enough, and willing to be vulnerable enough, to share your dreams with them? And are they willing to do that with you?

This doesn't need to be on a first date. But once you've been out several times, and have gotten to know each other. Are you willing to share that part of yourself? And are they willing to share the same with you?

Whether you feel that you can share that, or you feel that you can't, either way, it's a big clue about your relationship!
