Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: I'm pretty sure you already know what this card means for you, which is actually how this particular decks works. For me, this card means a couple things. First, it's about nutrition. Or, judging from the way I eat much of the time, a lack thereof. It's reminder of the importance of being good to your body, so your body can be good to you. It's about cutting out those things that you shouldn't be having in the first place, and you already have a pretty good idea of what those are. It's also about getting the good things you need, and that isn't always the same for everyone. But you already have a pretty good idea of what you should be eating, and what you shouldn't. The other thing this card makes me think about is people. This is a reminder to avoid, as best you can, those people who are toxic to you. We can't always do this, but it's time for you to give it another try. Don't choose to interact with those who have an adverse effect on you, your mood, your psyche, etc. Don't look for arguments with them, and don't try to prove that you're right. Instead, nurture yourself with those who love you, even if it's just your pet or just the trees in the park. Let that wash over you, and hopefully wash away residue that you don't need or want. And this card also brings to mind places. You may not be able to avoid your workplace (and I do hope that your workplace isn't toxic for you), but you may be able to avoid the bad traffic to and from there, even if taking a different route takes longer. That detour could do wonders for your peace of mind! The other place to be wary of is the Internet, specifically social media. If you're finding yourself being pulled into too many arguments there, and you feel that you're seeing too many negative postings, give yourself a break from it. Take a day off from the web and lose yourself in the outdoors, or in a book, or in music, or even in a favorite movie or TV show. But that's what it means to me. What does "Detoxify" mean to you? If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like).

Changes. We all go through them. Often. So that kind of message doesn't mean a whole lot, right? One of the things I like to point out with this particular card is about others going through changes. Change isn't always easy, and it's not always by choice. When we decide to make a change, or even when we have change thrust upon us, that's one thing. But we don't often think about the changes others are going through. This is a reminder to be kind and supportive to those close to you as they deal with their own changes. Seems simple, but it's so easy to put someone down, intentionally or not, over their efforts to change their lives. Losing weight. Quitting smoking. New careers. Etc. It can make such a difference by simply showing your support and offering encouragement. You already know how difficult change can be. That load can be so much lighter when you feel like you aren't alone. This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to traditional tarot decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.
You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's new Spiritual Tune Up Show, with Michele Amburgey, on Wednesday's at 5:00pm and on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, on Friday's at 5:00pm (Pacific) on Blog Talk Radio! I will also be giving readings with this deck at Myztic Isle in La Mesa, CA Monday from noon to 5:00pm. Get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! Here's another song from my Psychic Jukebox, one that's popped up several times for me in the last week (maybe more). Three things come to mind with this Eddie Money song, but I feel like I should add that because music is so personal, you might feel something else, and that is totally valid! The first thing I get from "Take Me Home Tonight" is directly from the lyrics of the song. This is about being honest, and telling someone you love exactly how you're feeling and what you want. We don't always like to do that. It makes us vulnerable in a way that we often find scary. But you should be able to do that with someone you love (and just as importantly, with someone who loves you). Be bold. Be honest. Tell them how you feel. The next thing I get is from the background of this song. Eddie Money wanted to get legendary singer Ronnie Spector to re-visit the Ronettes' "Be My Baby" in the chorus of the song. Ronnie told him she was out of the music business and didn't do that any more. He persisted, and convinced her to do it. As "Take Me Home Tonight" became a big hit, Ronnie decided to restart her signing career. She went on to workd with a wide variety of artists, including Joey Ramone, Keith Richards, Patti Smith, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and many more. To me, that's a reminder that you should never give up on your dreams. Just because you can't do it today, or you can't even see a pathway to getting where you want to be, doesn't mean it will never happen. Hang in there, and don't give up! And lastly, this is one of those songs that my wife and I disagree about. Specifically, about the lyrics. And even when I confront her with official lyrics from the artist, her response is that those might be what the words are supposed to be, but that's not what he's singing. Does it matter which one of us is right? Not really. In the grand scheme of things, this is pretty unimportant. And I think this song is also a reminder to choose your battles carefully. Don't let something trivial become a big deal. And don't get so entrenched in the need to be right that you can't see anything else. I've posted Eddie's appearance (with Ronnie Spector) on Solid Gold, performing this song after it became a big hit. I often find listening to the music helps clarify the messages. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over twenty thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and ask my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays (12:00pm to 5:00pm)! You can get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! This card actually came up a few weeks ago (and a few weeks before that, too), and I feel that it's a reminder that the message is still there for you. And rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm going to repeat what I said earlier this month, in the hope that this message finds the ones who need it (and vice versa). Of this card, Doreen Virtue writes, "New ideas now take flight!" This is a message of the beginning of creativity. It's time to allow yourself to be inspired, and then to begin your plan for putting that inspired idea into action. Don't put pressure on yourself, or make this bigger than it needs to be. It's only the beginning, and while that's important, it doesn't need to be more than that. What is it you've been wanting to do? And if you aren't sure how to answer that, it's time to give yourself permission to think about it. What do you want to do? Where do you want to be? You're the only one who can answer those questions. It's time to listen to your heart. Be brave and think of the possibilities. And then start to make your plan for bringing it to fruition! This card comes from the Angel Tarot Deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. You can find out more about this deck, and even order it, on Doreen's website RIGHT HERE! Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: Crown Chakra probably means something pretty specific to you. Whenever a chakra card comes up in this deck, it makes me wonder if it's because of an imbalance. Or if there's something in particular going on that affects it. Have you been meditating? Have you been communicating with your angels and guides (or receiving communications from your angels and guides)? Only you can answer those questions. And whatever first came to mind when you saw this card should be something you focus on. If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. Today's card is something I talk about often on the Psychic Tapestry shows. So often, we make things more difficult and more complicated than they need to be... "I can replace false premises with law-based premises..." "There has been a theme unfolding here of replacing flawed premises with Law-based premises. And we would like to leave you with a final one: We all make too much of all this. It is simpler than we all make it out to be. Be easy about it. Be kind to yourself. Do things that feel fun. Look for things that bring you relief, and just easily move into that place (your Vortex) where all things that you want have already been lined up for you." This card comes from Esther and Jerry Hicks' oracle deck Getting Into The Vortex. You can find out more on their website: RIGHT HERE
A very simple word and message, yet, so often, it proves difficult for us. Trust. A mis-step, a mis-understanding, a betrayal - all of those can derail us, and make it feel almost impossible to trust again. We don't want to make the same mistakes again. We don't want to be taken advantage of. But what happens is that you slowly put distance between you and everyone else. You think you're protecting yourself, but you're actually robbing yourself of love, joy and happiness. Yes, trust can be a risk. But living your life can also be viewed as a risk. And the truth is, insulating yourself is also a risk. Doing that, you risk losing out on so many of the wonderful joys of life. This card is a reminder of the importance of trust. Trust your intuition. Trust that you are on the right path. Of this card, Psychic Medium John Holland says that trusting the Universe takes courage, but it's also a reminder that you are not alone. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. You can find out more about this deck at John's website RIGHT HERE!
“When you’re in the bag, you don’t see anything; you just communicate directly, soul to soul.” - John Lennon This sketch by John was his depiction of one of his and Yoko's peace campaigns in the late 1960's. John said that by living in a bag, you couldn't judge (or be judged) based on the color of your skin, the kinds of clothes you wore, your gender, etc. You would only be able to communicate with your heart and soul. Yoko said that bagism was inspired by the theme of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, which was "One sees rightly only with the heart, the essential is invisible to the eyes." She hoped that the bag, by hiding her and John's physical appearance, would make their essence or the essence of their message visible. John also said that it was part of his and Yoko's whimsical and comedic way of making a point by being silly and outrageous, so that the press would cover what they had to say. He said, "Yoko and I are quite willing to be the world's clowns; if by doing it we do some good." I don't think this card is suggesting you put a bag over your head, obviously. But I think it is a reminder to listen with your heart and your soul, rather than relying on your senses, which give you information through your own filters of preconceived thoughts, feelings and even prejudices. It seems today that so many are trying to get their messages (political and otherwise) across, that much of it becomes white noise. And what does get through is immediately attacked as being part of an agenda of one side or the other. It's not always easy to take all of that out of the mix, and winnow it down to the specific point. The quest for ratings and social media followers can make the desire for theatrics become almost as important (and in some cases more important) than the message itself. Of course, this isn't just about politics. We all do this in our everyday lives. Friends, family, co-workers all may have something to say, and we only hear it through our filters of what we already know, or think we know, about whoever is talking to us. And the same is true for us when we're communicating with others. Hyperbole and exaggeration, along with whatever other agendas we may have, can color what we say, and how we say it. Communicate with your heart and soul. You'll be amazed at the results! This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon.

Here's another song from my Psychic Jukebox, one that's popped up several times for me in the last twenty-four hours. I like Bryan Adams, and I like this song. But I think it's a good example of why so many have a tough time finding love. Unrealistic expectations. The thought that someone might say to you that "everything I do, I do it for you" is sweet, but it's not very likely. And the truth is, you don't really want that, even though you think you do. We all need balance. And from time to time, we need to do things for ourselves.Taking care of yourself isn't selfish, though popular culture often makes us feel that way. And would you really want someone who only does things for you? Every single thing that they do? At first, that might seem romantic. You would probably enjoy it. But would you be able to reciprocate? And if you couldn't, odds are pretty good that you would feel guilty. And you might even begin to feel angry, feeling like you're in a relationship where you can't possibly measure up. Love isn't a pop song, and it isn't a movie or a novel. Sure, there should be instances of doing things for the one you love. And some of those things will be things you don't like. And you should expect that same from them. Just don't lose yourself. It's important that you take care of you. And sometimes that means doing something that is for you and only for you. Sometimes you won't agree, and that's fine. Sometimes those disagreements will be silly and insignificant, and sometimes they'll be big and important. And you and the one you love will have to find middle ground. But expecting them to always cater to you is a recipe for failure. And you deserve better than that! I've posted Bryan's original video for this song below. I often find listening to the music helps clarify the messages. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. You can get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! It makes no difference if you're a man or a woman when you get this card. In fact, that's true of any card you get. But with this one, I feel like I needed to mention that first. This is a great card to get at the beginning of the weekend! It's a reminder to do something that makes you feel good. Many times, I've heard this kind of message given with a suggestion of taking a spa day, or a mini-vacation. And while that's a nice thought, who had the time (and the money) to do that on a whim? I feel that the message with this card is about doing something for yourself, something that makes you feel good, while remaining realistic. It doesn't have to be some grand gesture. It doesn't need to take all day, or cost a lot of money. Be good to yourself. Treat yourself to something that makes you feel good. This could be as simple as indulging in a trip to your favorite ice cream shop. Or choosing to spend an hour reading a book you enjoy, or watching a movie you love. It could even be as simple as listening to some of your favorite music. The point isn't to see how much time and money you can spend, which, in the long run, will just make you feel worse, anyway. You know what you like. You know what makes you happy. Enjoy allowing yourself to be good to you! These cards come from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to traditional tarot decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.
