While this card shows Cass Elliot (formerly of the Mama's and the Papa's), it has also been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Bobby Sherman and Paul Westerberg, among others. Cass has a top forty hit with it in 1969. I think its message is both wonderful and simple. Make your own kind of music, even if no one else sings along. This is all about following your heart (and your intuition). Do what you love, what makes you happy. And don't waste your time worrying about what others might think. The truth is, if you wait for everyone to approve, you'll never do anything. And your opinion should trump theirs, anyway. What is it you've been wanting to do? This doesn't necessarily have to be a career decision. It could be almost anything. Want to sing karaoke? Want to try a vegetarian diet? Want to learn a new language? The list could be endless. And no one else should be able to talk you out of it (unless it's something potentially dangerous, of course). If you've been waiting for a sign to get started, this is it! You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, Friday's at 5:00pm (Pacific) on Blog Talk Radio!
I will also be giving readings with this deck at Myztic Isle in La Mesa, CA today for their Psychic Faire (from 11:00am to 5:00pm), and again on Monday from noon to 5:00pm. Get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE!

This card actually came up a few weeks ago, and I feel that it's a reminder that the message is still there for you. And rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm going to repeat what I said earlier this month, in the hope that this message finds the ones who need it (and vice versa). Of this card, Doreen Virtue writes, "New ideas now take flight!" This is a message of the beginning of creativity. It's time to allow yourself to be inspired, and then to begin your plan for putting that inspired idea into action. Don't put pressure on yourself, or make this bigger than it needs to be. It's only the beginning, and while that's important, it doesn't need to be more than that. What is it you've been wanting to do? And if you aren't sure how to answer that, it's time to give yourself permission to think about it. What do you want to do? Where do you want to be? You're the only one who can answer those questions. It's time to listen to your heart. Be brave and think of the possibilities. And then start to make your plan for bringing it to fruition! This card comes from the Angel Tarot Deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. You can find out more about this deck, and even order it, on Doreen's website RIGHT HERE! Today's reading is from a song (more about that at the end). "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" was first written and performed by Bob Dylan in 1973 (for the movie "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid". It was also a hit for Eric Clapton and Guns N' Roses. Warren Zevon, Avril Lavigne, Pink Floyd's Roger Waters, Wyclef Jean, Babyface, Dolly Parton and the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia have also recorded it, among many others. So there's a good chance you've heard someone's version of it. At first listen, you might think this is a warning message. You need to make some changes before it's too late! And honestly, if you need to make those kinds of changes in your lifestyle, you already know it. Eat less. Exercise more. Get more sleep. But I think this is more about spiritual development. Your guides and angels are always around and they want to help and support you. Are you making time to listen? Do you talk to them? Do you meditate? This isn't a message warning you of your imminent demise. Instead, it's letting you know that it's time for you to make time for you, your guides and angels. Knock on Heaven's door and see who answers (and what they have to say)! Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has almost nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I've posted the video of the song below if you'd like to listen - it's from Bob Dylan's appearance on MTV's Unplugged in 1995. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays, and also at their Psychic Faire this Saturday! That song was a combination of two songs he had been working on in some of the final sessions with the Beatles. Those songs were "Make Love, Not War" and "I Promise". The message in this card is a combination of all of that. It's a reminder that Love is a promise, so much more important than fighting. This isn't just about romantic love. It goes for anyone that is close to you, blood-family or your family of choice. At times, we can let small differences become big differences, making our relationships strained and difficult. It becomes easy to lose sight of what is really important, and we find that need to be right, to win, the focus. This doesn't mean you should let anyone and everyone to walk all over you. Just keep in mind that even though you may have differences with someone, that's not all there is to that relationship. Love is the answer. And you know that for sure. This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon.

I'm going to let today's card speak for itself... "I can find harmony by feeling the improved thoughts..." "If we were contemplating an action that caused negative emotion, we would not proceed with the action until we had resolved the negative emotion. We would make sure that we had come into alignment with Source before proceeding. By feeling for the improved thought, in time, and usually in a short time, you will feel the harmony of your Source; and you will know the appropriateness of your behavior. We would not look for the long lists of right and wrong, but instead, we would feel for the emotion of alignment with Source." This card comes from Esther and Jerry Hicks' oracle deck Getting Into The Vortex. You can find out more on their website here: RIGHT HERE
Like many cards, this one has layers of meanings. You decide which one resonates the most with you. This could certainly refer to a situation or project you're working on, especially if you're nearing completion, as that's the point we tend to get excited and might start to rush things a bit. It's a reminder to slow down and proceed cautiously. This could also refer to a person. Are you trying to heal a relationship? Kudos to you if you are, but remember that things didn't get to the point where they now are overnight, so don't expect fences to be mended too quickly. And it can also mean to be judicious with your choice of words, especially online. It's so easy to say the wrong thing, or have your words taken the wrong way, when you write something on social media. Take your time, and select your words carefully. This isn't about politically correctness, but about simply caring how you talk to those that mean the most to you. Finally, this is a reminder to treat yourself well. So often, we make long to-do lists, making sure we take care of everything for everyone else. And too often, we forget to put ourselves on our own lists. Self-care is important. That doesn't mean at the expense of everyone else. But it's virtually impossible to take care of anyone else if you don't take care of yourself! Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: I often say on the Psychic Tapestry shows that the Past is a fine place to visit, but you don't want to live there. It's up to you what this card means. But it might be worth your time to consider whether you are holding onto something from the past, something that no longer serves you. And also consider this: People may have wronged you in the past. They may have done or said something that hurt you, caused you pain, made life more difficult. Holding onto your feelings about that is another way of living in the past. It doesn't help you now. And there's nothing you can do to change it. And that person, or those people, may not have been aware that what they said or did had any effect on you. It's also possible that they don't care. And they may never apologize. The other thing you should know is that we've all been there. How you deal with it, though, is completely up to you. But as with all the cards in this deck, you decide what this means for you. What immediately comes to mind? And whatever it is that immediately comes to mind is your answer.
If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like). Today's reading is from a song (more about that at the end). "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" was Andy Gibb's second single, and first number one. His brother Barry sings background vocals, and the Eagles' Joe Walsh plays guitar. It spent 31 weeks on the charts in 1977, and three of those were in the top spot that summer. Since my class on Pendulums is today at Myztic Isle, I can't help but make a connection between this song and those rocks-on-strings. I just want to be your everything Open up the Heaven in your heart and let me be The things you are to me And not some puppet on a string I think that, for many (including myself), using pendulums can be overwhelming and addictive. It opens up a new world, and it can be very exciting to use more and more pendulums to try and make more and more connections. Just keep in mind that this shouldn't become a game of Pokemon (gotta catch 'em all). It is a great and amazing gift to be able to feel that energy, using a pendulum to connect to spirit and angels. But having a giant pendulum collection that you never use, only to add to it at every opportunity, misses the point. Pendulums can be a terrific gateway tool on your metaphysical path. Connections made there are from those wanting to assist you and give you messages. Don't let them just become a big box of pretty rocks. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has almost nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I've posted the video of the song below if you'd like to listen - it's from Andy's appearance on Top Of The Pops in the U.K. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays (get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE)! I was about to say that this was a great card to get as the week winds down and you head into the weekend. Truth is, this is a great card to get any time! The song on the card is "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. It's all about harmony at home. This could be just about the structure that is your home, or, more likely, it's about the people who make it a home, or who make wherever you are feel like home. It could be family of blood or family of choice. If you're already experience harmony with your home and family, that bliss will continue. And if you aren't experiencing that, yet, it's on the way. And if it's on the way, it might need a little help. Is there something about your home and/or family that needs your attention? Something that needs healing? Only you can answer those questions. If the answer is YES, than this is your sign that it's time to take get started! Would you believe me if I told you that you could have anything, and everything, that you want? Believing that you can is an important step. And this is the time to put into motion whatever it takes to get what you want. But if you don't believe that you can have it, that you're worthy of it, that you deserve it - well, it really won't matter what steps you take next. You'll be sabotaging yourself. Are you looking for love? You have to believe that you're worthy and that you deserve it. Because you are! Looking for something else? A job? A new home? Whatever it is, you have to start by believing that you can have it, that you are worthy of it and that you deserve it. I know I'm repeating myself, but it's so important. Turn it into an affirmation if that helps you. And keep saying it until you believe it. And then keep saying it until you have what you want. I believe I can have it. I am worthy of it. I deserve it. Because you can. You are. And you do. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. You can find out more about this deck at John's website RIGHT HERE!
