![]() Today's message might not seem to apply to you, but I assure you it's for everyone. This sketch by John Lennon shows him and Yoko, running in opposite directions, trying to escape photographers. Many have said this is Lennon's thoughts on the price of fame, and what may have driven him into a kind of retirement in the 70's. While it does evoke that, most of us will never have that kind of problem. It's unlikely we'll have the kind of fame he had (and continues to have, so many years after his passing). But if you're on social media, you're already on your way to being famous. Probably not like Lennon, but we make so many connections on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that our thoughts, comments, photos, etc. reach so many more people than we even thought possibly just ten or fifteen years ago. And we all like to get those bits of validation, with likes and retweets and all that. Every day becomes a new challenge to reach more people. Like ripples on the surface of a lake, our posts reach friends, and friends of friends, and so on. With fame comes responsibility, though many don't take the time to recognize that. And you may not even think that you're famous enough to worry about that. But the truth is, you never really know how far your social media posts may reach. Or who they might affect. I think this is just a reminder to be kind, and to think twice, before you share something with your social media audience. And to do the same before you share something from someone else, and before you comment on another's post. Every time you log into Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc., you're playing to an ever-increasing audience. Be thoughtful and be kind. This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon.
You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, Friday's at 5:00pm Pacific on Blog Talk Radio! ![]() This is another one of those songs I've had stuck in my head for several days. It was a top five hit for the Stones in 1980 (and it zoomed up the charts in at least eight other countries, too). Mick Jagger said the song was about a woman that had some problems and a man who envisioned himself as the only one who could swoop in and save her. I come to you, so silent in the night So stealthy, so animal quiet I'll be your savior, steadfast and true I'll come to your emotional rescue In fact, at one point in the song, Mick actually sings... I will be your knight in shining armor Coming to your emotional rescue This is a common attitude for a lot of men. We want to be needed, and we want to fix things. And the truth is, many women just want to be listened to. They don't want you to swoop in and try to fix anything. Of course, this isn't always that gender-specific. Everyone that has, and shares, their problem with you isn't doing so in hopes that you will rush in and save the day. Sometimes, people just want to be heard. This is a reminder to listen. With your ears and your heart. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I've posted a video of the song below if you'd like to listen - and really all you can do is listen, the image is just of the record.

We think it's selfish to believe we are capable of amazing things, and that we deserve it. And we fall into the rut of magnifying our short-comings and diminishing our strengths. You do deserve every success. And you are more than capable of achieving it. That's easy for me to type in this post. Is it easy for you to read? And do you believe it? History is full of amazing success stories. And there are millions more that history doesn't notice, but are still significant. And they all have at least one singular thing in common. Belief. Henry Ford said, "If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right." We've all been to the point where we don't believe we can succeed. We've been intimidated by our past, our problems and the enormity of what we're trying to do. And there's even comfort in being able to say that, at least, you tried. But now is the time to accept that you are worthy and you are able to do it. And you deserve it. Success is ready for you. Are you ready for success? It's time to believe in you! This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. You can find out more about this deck at John's website RIGHT HERE!
![]() This is a message I need to hear. Often. The man who can sing when he hasn't got a thing, he's the king of the whole wide world. We all get so caught up in our busy lives, it's difficult not to let a perceived lack (or even a very really lack) stress us out. Bills are due. Car payments are due. Rent or mortgage payments are due. Not to mention that there are lots of material things we don't have that we feel that we need. And we want to eat out and go to concerts and the latest movies. Plus, our phones need an upgrade, and so do our laptops or tablets. And then there are the intangibles. Love. Support. Friendship. Understanding. Compassion. Time. It's easy to feel like we just don't have enough. But Elvis is right. When you appreciate what you have, you are generally happier. Gratitude is so important. And it really can make a huge different in the way you live your life. Your attitude improves. You feel better. You smile and laugh a lot more. And the best thing about it is that it's never too late to start! This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to tradition decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.

Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: Karma is very interesting. Many times, we see it as some kind of weapon against those who we feel have mistreated us. And we even take some joy when we feel that the mistreaters get their just desserts. We might even think of them as being run over by the Karma Train. Others think of this word as something along the lines of destiny, possibly stretching back across the centuries, through many other lifetimes. They see Karma as some kind of grid, almost dictating the actions and situations of today. How do you see it? What does that word mean for you? And how does that fit into your life today? You're the only one who can answer those questions, and the answers certainly aren't the same for everyone. . If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like).
![]() What a wonderful card! Doreen Virtue says, "Peace, joy and unconditional love surround you!" This card also suggests harmony at home with your family (either family of blood or family of choice - possibly both). It also speaks to emotional and material needs being met. it's really like the winning Powerball ticket of cards! If you aren't already experiencing some of what this card suggests, be patient, as it's on the way. You do need to trust and believe, though. Trust that good things are on the way to you. And believe that you deserve them! And don't feel that you can now take it easy, and wait for the Universe to deliver the goods. Be an active part in your life! When you think of harmony with your home and family, really visualize what that means. And if you don't feel that's on the way, what can you do to help bring it to fruition? This doesn't mean that this card is some kind of homework assignment for getting the life you want. But it also doesn't mean you can idly sit around waiting for it to happen to you. This card comes from the Angel Tarot Deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. You can find out more about this deck, and even order it, on Doreen's website RIGHT HERE!
![]() While this is The Lovers card, the message isn't just about romance. This is for anyone and everyone in your life, all of those who are close to you, that you love. Tell them that you love them. Out loud. Too often, we take people for granted, especially those we love. We get to thinking that we're showing them how we feel, and that they must know, so we don't need to say it. I took out the trash. I did the laundry. I mowed the lawn. I cleaned the bathroom. He/she knows I love him/her. I'm not sure when household chores became a substitute for saying, "I love you." Maybe it's always been that way. But it doesn't have to be. In fact, it shouldn't. And this isn't just about your significant other. Your parents. Your children. Your close friends. Say the words. Out loud. Tell them. And remember how wonderful it feels when you hear those words coming from someone you love. Even if you already know. It still makes us feel so good to hear it. Don't let life make you think you're too busy. No one has ever regretted saying "I love you" too much. But plenty have regretted not saying it enough. This card comes from my Psychic Jukebox deck, a 78-card tarot deck that I created. It is similar to tradition decks, but all the cards are singers, bands and songs. My deck is actually 80 cards, as there are two blank ones - because sometimes, you already know the answer.

This was the B-side of Bobby Vee's 1961 single "Run To Him", which just missed hitting number one that fall. "Walkin' With My Angel" also got played on the radio, nearly cracking the top forty. It was also one of Carole King's first compositions. The song is from a guy's perspective, about how wonderful life will be, and how well he'll be treated, when everyone sees him walking hand-in-hand with the girl of his dreams, who he refers to as his angel. Every guy I see is wishing that he were me, When I'm walkin', walkin' With my angel As far as that goes, this is a reminder not to let yourself determine your own self-worth by others, or by what others think. I know that's not always easy to do, but it's so important that you recognize how wonderful you are, as is. Don't let your feelings about yourself be determined, or even swayed, by others. And don't give that power to anyone. You should never feel that everything will be better once someone else appreciates you, or thinks well of you. Your opinions is the one that counts! The other thing this song brings to mind is angels. Our spiritual and angelic teams are always with us. We may not always feel that way, but it's true. We're never really alone. Everywhere you go, they're with you, loving you and supporting you. And if you ever need their guidance or, their assistance, all you need to do is ask. There aren't any magic words or phrases you have to learn. You can do that as simply as you like, in whatever words feel right to you. Whether you need help managing fear and stress, or you need help finding a parking space. There is nothing that is too big or too small. That isn't to say that you should think of angels as Santa Claus. Or test them,as in "if angels are really around me, change the traffic light". Talk to them as you would to anyone you truly love, who truly loves you, too (because they sure do). And know that, even at those times you feel alone, they're with you. And they love you. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over nineteen thousand songs in it. "I came her as an Extension of Source Energy..." "You came as physical extensions of Source Energy, understanding that you would explore contrast, causing expansion not only for you but for All-That-Is. You knew that you could find your way back to the resources of your Source by "feeling" your way - and by understanding that the relationship between you and You is not one of separateness but of alignment and resonance...When you master the Art of Allowing your consistent alignment with the Source within you - every other relationship will be beneficial and pleasurable." This card comes from Esther and Jerry Hicks' oracle deck Getting Into The Vortex. You can find out more on their website here: RIGHT HERE
![]() Like most cards, today's has a few layered meanings. First, there's a reminder not to take yourself too seriously. John Lennon loved clever wordplay, and he engages in that in the sentence he wrote on this sketch. "He tried to consult the stars, but no one returns his calls." A play on astrology and celebrity (and there's plenty of overlap in both). Further, you probably know someone with a casual interest in astrology, whose interest only goes as far as finding out something good about themselves; if it's too complicated, or reveals something they don't want revealed, their interest wanes. There's also a bit of "a watched pot never boils". The look on John's face is anger, no longer just determined to try and will the phone to ring, but shifting into anger that it hasn't, yet. How often is that the case? We are so eager for something to happen that, if it doesn't happen fast enough for our liking, we start to feel anger and resentment. It should have happened by now! Why is the Universe against me? Take a breath and keep your sense of humor. And remember to repeat that, as needed! This card comes from an oracle deck I created based on the artwork of John Lennon.
