Usually, I comment about the particular deck I'm using at the end of the reading, but since this one is much different, I thought I'd do it at the beginning. This card comes from an intuitive oracle deck I've made that I call Ocean Therapy. Here's a little of the explanation of this deck: Power is a funny thing. We often let other people, and other situations, have power over us. In some situations, even when we think we're in control, we give our power away. And sometimes, we allow external circumstances to make us feel that we have no power at all. It's not true, of course. You have all the power you need. You may not believe that, but it's still true. Is this a sign to take back, or otherwise claim, your power? Is it time to accept the power you do have? Is it time to stop others from exerting their power over you? Only you can answer those questions. For me, this is actually about technology, as I've been wrestling with some Internet power issues (which I hope are behind me). I only mention that because there are so many ways you can interpret this card. What does "power" mean to you? And how does that apply to what you're dealing with right now? If you're interested in getting one of these decks, you can order it RIGHT HERE! Each deck will be made especially for you when you order, which is why it's still showing up as a pre-order. And if 111 cards sounds too big to you, there are two smaller versions that are also available on that same page (along with samples of what some of the other cards in the deck look like).

It's time to adjust your thinking. This could be about a relationship or a situation. Odds are pretty good that you already know what this is about. You may feel that obstacles have been put in your way, preventing you from getting what you want. All of us have those moments where we feel that the deck is stacked against us, and that unfair blocks have been placed in our path. But now is the time to assess, reassess and act. Take some quiet time and really think about this relationship or situation. What do feel is in your way? It may not be obvious. It may require you to really give it some serious thought. As a Virgo, I'm often guided to make lists. A pro and con list may not be exactly what you need, but perhaps some tangent of that will help. Take a long hard look at what's in the way of you getting what you want or where you want to be. And then take an even longer look at what you need to do to overcome it. Feeling helpless or hopeless doesn't mean you've lost. It only means you're human. It's also not forever. It's just for right now. If you give it some thought and make your list and still find yourself feeling hopeless, ask your angels and guides for help. And then sleep on it, while your spiritual team goes to work on your issue. The important thing is to take some kind of action, even if you ask for help and go to sleep. You'll feel like you are doing something positive, and you can shake off that feeling of being helpless and hopeless. This card came from John Holland's oracle deck The Psychic Tarot of the Heart. I apologize, but there's no reading today.
I'm taking my own advice, and recharging. I do have a pretty cool announcement coming up later today. But for now, I'm going to get some much-needed rest. My Daily Reading will be back on Wednesday! This is one of those messages that I feel needs a bit of explanation and qualification. "The Dock Of The Bay", a beautiful song by Otis Redding, evokes a calm, peaceful experience, simply sitting on a dock at the water, watching the ships and the tide come in and go out. And it's a message about taking some time for yourself to do something similar, to relax and let yourself be at peace. Who has time for that, right? I understand that, all too well. We're all very busy, and most of us don't have time to simply take off for the beach, or the park, or wherever, commune with nature and otherwise relax. We've got deadlines. Bills are due. Appointments, for us and our children, have to be kept. I think all of that is kind of the point. You need to figure out a way to take some time just for you. This doesn't mean blowing off work, shirking obligations and playing hookey from responsibilities. It means to make sure that you recognize that you are also important. You matter. And you should be on your to-do list. Someone close to me showed me an image of an empty pitcher trying to fill empty cups. You can't do it. And you can't help anyone else if you let yourself get completely depleted. Be good to yourself. Even if it's only a short to listen to a favorite song, enjoy a light spring breeze, watch a rerun of "Friends", etc. Give yourself permission to enjoy yourself, and to recharge and relax. You can hear me read from this deck for callers on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, with Toni DeMaio and Julia Hoffman, Friday's at 5:00pm (Pacific) on Blog Talk Radio!
I will also be giving readings with this deck at Myztic Isle in La Mesa, CA today from noon to 5:00pm. Get directions or make an appointment by visiting Myztic Isle's website RIGHT HERE! This song came up in a reading today, and I felt the message was important enough to share here. This Fleetwood Mac song was a big hit in the summer of 1976. And at first glance, or first listen, it seems like an obvious message about romantic love. 'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down, And there's not another living soul around, Then you woo me until the sun comes up, And you say that you love me. If that resonates with you, then you need go no further. But I think there's more there. First, there are repeated lines asking for a kindness. Have mercy, baby on a poor girl like me. So help me, help me, help me make the feeling go. Have pity baby, I'm begging you for a little sympathy. Obviously those lines are out of context, but I still think that's part of the message for you. It's a reminder to be kind. Especially to those you love, and in those times when you don't feel that they deserve it. Especially in those times. The other part of this is in the title, a line that's also repeated throughout the song. Say that you love me. It's so easy to get caught up in a moment of anger, particularly when you feel that you've been wronged or otherwise treated badly. These are the moments when we say things that, later, we wish we hadn't. It's a reminder that those you love deserve your kindness and compassion, even when you vehemently disagree. Remember that you love them. And that they love you. And you really don't want to say or do anything that will make it unlikely you'll be able to say those words to one another again. It's also reminder that it's so important to tell those we love that we love them. Out loud. So they hear it. Don't take it for granted that because you took out the trash or washed clothes that you don't have to say it because they already know. Even if they do know, say it again, anyway. And don't let yourself lose that. It's so important to let those in your life know how you feel. Sometimes, situations can make things difficult, but don't let it rob you of that human kindness. Tell them you love them. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I've posted the video of the song below if you'd like to listen - it's from Fleetwood Mac's performance at the Super Bowl in 1993. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays!
