![]() This song came up in a reading today, and I felt the message was important enough to share here. This Fleetwood Mac song was a big hit in the summer of 1976. And at first glance, or first listen, it seems like an obvious message about romantic love. 'Cause when the loving starts, and the lights go down, And there's not another living soul around, Then you woo me until the sun comes up, And you say that you love me. If that resonates with you, then you need go no further. But I think there's more there. First, there are repeated lines asking for a kindness. Have mercy, baby on a poor girl like me. So help me, help me, help me make the feeling go. Have pity baby, I'm begging you for a little sympathy. Obviously those lines are out of context, but I still think that's part of the message for you. It's a reminder to be kind. Especially to those you love, and in those times when you don't feel that they deserve it. Especially in those times. The other part of this is in the title, a line that's also repeated throughout the song. Say that you love me. It's so easy to get caught up in a moment of anger, particularly when you feel that you've been wronged or otherwise treated badly. These are the moments when we say things that, later, we wish we hadn't. It's a reminder that those you love deserve your kindness and compassion, even when you vehemently disagree. Remember that you love them. And that they love you. And you really don't want to say or do anything that will make it unlikely you'll be able to say those words to one another again. It's also reminder that it's so important to tell those we love that we love them. Out loud. So they hear it. Don't take it for granted that because you took out the trash or washed clothes that you don't have to say it because they already know. Even if they do know, say it again, anyway. And don't let yourself lose that. It's so important to let those in your life know how you feel. Sometimes, situations can make things difficult, but don't let it rob you of that human kindness. Tell them you love them. Spirits and Angels love music, and love to give us messages through music. This song comes from my Psychic Jukebox, which has over nineteen thousand songs in it. I set it to play randomly, and asked my guides and angels to give me the song that was the message that was needed. I've posted the video of the song below if you'd like to listen - it's from Fleetwood Mac's performance at the Super Bowl in 1993. I also use my Psychic Jukebox in the readings on Psychic Tapestry's Love Show, heard on Blog Talk Radio every Friday at 5:00pm (Pacific) and in my readings at Myztic Isle on Mondays!
