It can sure seem like stress is something that's outside of ourselves, and that stress happens to us. We must remind ourselves that stress is our reaction to a circumstance, and how we think about the situation. What's stressful to one person isn't stressful to the next.
We can reduce our stress levels by turning to God for reassurance and guidance. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and follow the inner guidance he sends you to make healthful and positive changes. When your mind is calm, you can better manage the situation, and hear the solutions.
Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please help me with (describe situation), and clearly show me what action steps to take. Thank you for easing my mind, and lifting me up to faith and trust.
And here's a supportive scripture: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
