When we allow ourselves to contemplate the eternal nature of Spirit, we are able to put our lives into perspective.
Sometimes we are so caught up in things, work, kids, school, relationships, money and all of life’s challenges that we forget who we are in the big scheme of things.
So many of the worlds traditions suggest meditation, contemplation and inner work to connect you to something greater, something within ourselves that is bigger than the world. One quote that I grew up with was “Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world”. This is from the bible and growing up I thought it meant God was greater than Lucifer. But now that I am a practicing metaphysician and mystic, I understand that the meaning is much bigger than that.
My understanding is that we are greater than what the world shows us every day. What is within us is bigger, stronger, wiser, and greater than what we see “out there” in the world, if we will only turn inside and connect to that. In that connection we are held in the embrace of the All Knowing Presence that is sometimes called God.
And it is in these inner planes of connection that we also find the Eternal Companion. The Presence that walks with us every moment of every day and that cannot leave you, will not leave you, and is always there to support you. But it is not found outside. The Eternal Companion is only found inside.
