Every stressful situation you've experienced, has made you the strong person you are today. Each stressful event is an opportunity to notice the patterns in your life, and learn about the choices you've made.
Just as pressure creates diamonds, and irritants create pearls, so too do upsetting situations bring us valuable opportunities for growth. When our hearts are breaking, they're also more open to love. When we're worried about tomorrow, we're also reminded that the only thing we can control is this present moment. When situations are so overwhelming that we feel pushed into a corner, we learn to rely upon faith in God.
What are your favorite ways to manage stress?
Here's a helpful prayer: Dear God, please help me to see this situation in a new way, through your eyes of love and wisdom. Please help me to have the faith and confidence to take action as you clearly guide me.
And here's a relevant scripture: Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.
